What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time CASAC/CASAC-T position at Camelot of Staten Island, Inc.?
POSITION SUMMARY
The CASAC/CASAC-T provides support to clients and performs specific tasks under regular and intensive supervision of the Program Director as follows:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct Substance Use Disorder and Co-Occurring Disorder screening;
- Conduct intakes of assigned clients as needed.
- Perform client orientations
- Co-facilitates group sessions
- Provide basic Crisis Response
- Client education
- Coordinate client referrals as needed
- Care coordination functions
- Responsible for reporting and record keeping
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform Substance Use Disorder assessment
- Substance Use Disorder Diagnostic Impression
- Participate in the treatment planning process and model awareness of the treatment plan of each resident by carrying out activities that will support attainment of goal.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions
- Provide Psycho-education training to clients in order to enhance their ability in the provision of treatment based upon client’s current needs.
- Conduct family orientation and support group for clients
FUNCTIONS NOT PERMITTED:
- Clinical supervision
- Administrative supervision
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- CASAC/CASAC-T and one (1) years’ experience in a substance abuse treatment program.
- Must complete Supporting Recovery with Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT) and Introductory Training in the Addictions, including ethics training for addiction professionals (6 hours) & overview of confidentiality (3 hours) within 3 months of hire.
- Valid NYS Driver’s License
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
