Due to an internal promotion, Camellia Health & Rehab is seeking a Human Resources Director or HR Generalist to join our leadership team in Mobile, Alabama.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day human resources operations for the facility
• Manage recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes
• Partner with department leaders to address staffing and workforce planning needs
• Support employee relations, coaching, performance management, and retention initiatives
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Administer benefits, leave programs, personnel files, and HR documentation
• Coordinate employee recognition and engagement programs
• Track and report staffing, turnover, retention, and other workforce metrics
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all employee matters
• Help foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture

Qualifications

• Experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Recruiting, Staffing, or Workforce Management
• Previous HR Director, HR Generalist, HR Manager, Recruiter, Staffing Coordinator, or related experience preferred
• Healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute care experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of employment law, onboarding, recruiting, and employee relations preferred
