Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure durable finishes that meet safety and quality standards. Duties

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and coatings using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless and conventional spray systems), and other hand or power tools
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute painting projects according to specifications
• Conduct surface inspections to identify imperfections or damages requiring repairs such as drywall patching, plastering, or masonry work before painting begins
• Follow safety regulations by wearing appropriate respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols during all phases of work
• Perform construction site tasks including fixture installation, restoration work, renovation projects, and maintenance activities as needed
• Use construction estimating skills to assess project scope and materials needed for each job while maintaining efficiency and quality standards

Skills

• Extensive experience with residential painting, commercial painting, industrial coating applications, and construction surface preparation techniques
• Proficiency in using hand tools (brushes, scrapers), power tools (drills, sanders), paint sprayers (including airless systems), and spray equipment (conventional spraying)
• Strong knowledge of color theory for accurate color matching and visual color comparison skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately
• Skilled in various painting methods such as brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (including construction spray painting), and coating application
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes for material needs and project planning
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection and hazard awareness
• Experience with surface preparation tasks like drywall installation or repair, plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry finishing, concrete finishing, framing carpentry or trim carpentry is a plus
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during project execution
• Ability to work at heights using ladders safely while maintaining balance and precision during detailed work
