Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Blaster/Painter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise surface preparation and expert painting techniques, contributing to the durability and aesthetic appeal of our clients’ properties. Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other coatings using hand tools, brushes, rollers, or airless spray equipment such as conventional or airless paint sprayers
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and schematics to accurately execute project specifications
• Conduct surface testing and visual color comparisons to match paint colors precisely according to project requirements and client preferences
• Perform construction site surface preparation tasks including masonry repair, stucco application, restoration work, and fixture installation as needed
• Follow safety regulations diligently by using appropriate respiratory protection and personal protective equipment during all painting activities
• Assist with estimating project costs related to materials and labor for painting jobs involving residential, commercial, or industrial surfaces

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of construction estimating processes and material calculations
• Strong understanding of color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic consistency
• Proficiency with various hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and ladders used in surface preparation and painting tasks
• Experience with construction spray painting techniques including airless paint spraying and conventional spraying methods
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and renovation plans accurately
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction painting environments including respiratory protection standards
• Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as sanding, caulking, plastering, masonry repair, stucco application, and fixture installation
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations involved in estimating project scope and materials needed
• Knowledge of carpentry (trim carpentry & frame carpentry), masonry (concrete finishing & stucco), welding basics, and handyman experience is a plus
• Experience working on construction sites with exposure to renovation projects involving remodeling or restoration work

Pay: $23.47 - $25.00 per hour
