What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialist - Waste Water position at Camco Chemical?
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining our wastewater treatment system operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company standards.
- Monitor wastewater treatment system operations.
- Read PLC screens, charts, and gauges; note operational problems.
- Inspect pumps, ventilators, and air supplies.
- Gather samples at appropriate sampling points following proper procedures and record information.
- Pump in raw materials to adjust the pH of wastewater tanks.
- Collaborate with the lab on disposals and adjustments.
- Perform a variety of preventive maintenance tasks; clean and monitor the operations of automatic samplers.
- Maintain logs, records, and reports related to the work.

Pump in dye or oil wash out as needed.
- Experience in wastewater treatment or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret PLC screens, charts, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift operation certification is a plus.
