Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Per Diem Radiologic Technologist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services. In this energetic position, you will perform diagnostic medical x-rays, working under the direction of the Director of Imaging Services and the Director of Radiology.
Duties
1. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, and takes a proactive approach to error reduction.
2. Maintains strict confidentiality regarding knowledge of all patient information (HIPAA), staff and hospital confidential business.
3. Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the facility, departmental policies and procedures, and other such reports. Documents use of C-arm / X-ray and ensures films or studies are properly maintained. Maintains required patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports.
4. Performs x-ray examinations of all age groups. Assists with positioning of the patient and X-ray/C-arm to ensure successful film with minimal exposure to the patient.
5. Checks equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis.
6. Maintains X-ray, C-arm, lead shielding and other equipment in efficient operating order; performs preventative maintenance on a regular basis and contacts outside service for major malfunctions. Protects patient and other personnel from radiation hazards.
7. Maintains order and cleanliness of work areas.
8. Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times.
9. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in various continuing education methods. Maintains continuing education hours as required by ARRT.
10. Maintains radiation badges. Downloads radiation badges results through Instadose. Obtains reports from dosimeter monitoring company and forwards to health physicist for review.
11. Attends meetings as required.
12. Accurate and timely scheduling and/or registration of imaging patients.
13. Maintains and fosters effective public relations with patients, referring physician offices and the public.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Position Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Graduate from a two-year program in Radiologic Technology.
Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current license by the State of West Virginia Board of Examiners of Radiologic Technologists. Current BLS.
Physical Demands: Prolonged standing/walking. Lifts, positions, pushes, and/or transfers patients. Lifts supplies and equipment.
Working Conditions: Subject to electrical and radiant energy hazards.
Dress Code: Professional and neat appearance, scrubs, name tag, and shoes without holes.

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
