Position Title: Accountant
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Full-Time
Reports To: CEO
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will assist the Administrator in preparing and maintaining all accounting records, financial reports, and statement and statistical information to evaluate operating results in terms of policies, budgets, expenses, financial trends, and financial viability. Also assists the administrator in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and requirements of regulatory agencies.
Duties
1. Demonstrates competency in essential job functions necessary to perform the duties of an Accountant.
2. Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, infection control, safety standards, and a proactive approach to error reduction.
3. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops. Ensures current knowledge and skills necessary to work with all age groups and disabilities, from infants to pediatrics, adults, and geriatric groups.
4. Attends meetings as required and provides reports as needed.
5. Communicates effectively with co-workers, physicians, and business contacts.
6. Assists in the preparation of monthly financial reports and review of the general ledger.
7. Logs daily collections and disbursements and reconciles monthly bank accounts.
8. Match purchase orders with associated invoices, review cost, quantity received and process for payment.
9. Prepares and files monthly and quarterly tax returns.
10. Assists in preparing annual budgets, rate applications, Medicare cost report, HCCRA/URS, and corporate tax returns.
11. Assists in the coordination of all work with outside accounting firm for annual review.
12. Reports any unusual or questionable findings to the administrator. Coordinates as necessary with consultant for computer generated reports.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- College degree in Business related field or experience equivalent.
- Two years business related experience preferable in a healthcare setting. Good working knowledge of computers, Excel, general ledger.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
