Wellness Attendant
Department: Wellness
FLSA: Hourly-Nonexempt Reports To: Wellness Director

SUMMARY
The Wellness Attendant helps to create an activity enriched lifestyle for residents, staff and the community at large.
Demonstrates a commitment to customer service, dedication to professionalism, organizational excellence and success through teamwork.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Greet and assist residents and guests with Wellness information, classes and equipment.
- Answers the telephone in a professional manner; directs calls to appropriate individuals, and/or takes messages.
- E-mail, fax or photocopy information as needed.
- Maintains member information in current software.
- Is the first responder to Wellness emergency calls.
- Assists Residents, family members, and others with inquiries regarding fitness classes and equipment.
- Receives and enters orders for Wellness menu items using billing software for members and the point of sale software for residents
- Maintains a log for recording resident requests, maintenance issues and reports them to the appropriate person.
- Performs daily duties found on the “Daily Task List” to maintain order and cleanliness in Wellness.
- Receives Marketing Department inquiries from “walk-ins” and phone calls regarding information about the Cambridge Village Community. Answers basic questions and forwards information to Marketing Department.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES - none
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT
Working in normal office environment, employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, speak and hear. May occasionally lift objects of 10 to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
