What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Server position at Cambridge Village of Apex?
The Village Restaurant & Pub is looking to add to our team! We are looking for individuals preferably with restaurant serving experience. Part-time positions needed.
SUMMARY
Food servers ensure that patrons have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service. Servers work in the pub and dining rooms taking orders, serving food and drinks, and removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Utilizes “opening duties” checklist to prepare for the upcoming meal.
· Attends Chef’ pre-service meeting to learn of the menu items for the day.
· Takes orders and serves residents and guests in a timely and professional manner.
· Busses table and cleans as you go to ensure cleanliness and comfort for residents.
Staffs and operates take out station.
· Works as a team member with all other staff to provide the best possible dining experience.
· Utilizes ‘closing duties” checklist to ensure proper cleaning and closing of our restaurant.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
· Must possess, at a minimum, a 10th grade education.
· Must be able to read, write and speak the English language. Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively with supervisor and staff members.
· Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public. Must be able to interpret and implement written or oral programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Dietary Department
