Do you love meeting people, building relationships, and being involved in the community? Cambridge Senior Living is looking for a relationship-driven Admissions & Community Relations Director to join our established and nearly full Rice Lake community.
In this role, you’ll help maintain our strong occupancy, build our waitlist, strengthen referral relationships, and create meaningful community engagement. You’ll become a familiar face throughout Rice Lake - connecting with local organizations, attending events, building partnerships, and helping more families discover what makes Cambridge special.
What You’ll Do
- Develop creative marketing strategies that help drive census, occupancy goals, and a waitlist.
- Build genuine, lasting relationships with healthcare providers, referral partners, senior organizations, churches, nonprofits, and other community contacts.
- Get out into the community through calls, visits, networking, events, and good old-fashioned relationship building.
- Generate and manage leads and make sure prospective residents and families receive timely, thoughtful follow-up.
- Give engaging community tours and complete prospective resident assessments.
- Guide families through the admissions process from that first conversation all the way through move-in.
- Work closely with the Administrator and clinical team to help ensure the right fit and a smooth transition for every new resident.
- Plan and participate in open houses, educational events, senior fairs, networking events, and other community activities.
- Help tell the Cambridge story through social media, newsletters, flyers, email campaigns, presentations, and other marketing materials.
- Keep prospect and referral information organized and up to date in the CRM.
- Track leads, tours, conversions, referral activity, and census trends
- Partner with the Administrator and Regional Business Development Director on strategies to grow census and strengthen our presence in the community.
- Represent Cambridge Senior Living throughout the Rice Lake area and become a familiar, trusted face in the community.
- Participate in Manager on Duty and holiday rotations, as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree or currently working toward a degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in community relations, public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience in healthcare or senior living preferred.
- Someone who is comfortable talking with just about anyone—from a prospective resident and their family to a hospital social worker or community business owner.
- Strong communication, public speaking, writing, organizational, and planning skills.
- A self-starter who can manage priorities, work independently, collaborate with a team, and take direction from the Administrator and/or Regional Director of Operations.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must be able to successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment requirements.
- CBRF Registry, CPR/AED certification, and Alzheimer’s/Dementia care experience preferred, but not required.
