Cambridge Senior Living is preparing to open a brand-new senior living community in Waterloo, Iowa. We are seeking an enthusiastic and relationship-driven Admissions & Community Relations Director to help establish our presence in the Waterloo community and support a successful opening in spring 2027.

This position will play an important role in building community awareness, developing referral relationships, generating leads, and guiding prospective residents and families through the admissions process.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute marketing strategies to support census and occupancy goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, referral partners, senior organizations, churches, nonprofits, and other community contacts.
• Conduct consistent outreach through calls, emails, in-person visits, networking, and community events.
• Generate and manage leads and maintain timely follow-up with prospective residents and families.
• Conduct community tours and prospective resident assessments.
• Coordinate the admissions process from initial inquiry through move-in.
• Work closely with the Administrator and clinical team to ensure appropriate placement and a smooth transition for new residents.
• Coordinate open houses, educational events, networking opportunities, senior fairs, and other community outreach activities.
• Manage social media and assist with newsletters, flyers, email campaigns, presentations, and other marketing materials.
• Maintain accurate marketing and prospect activity in the CRM.
• Monitor referral activity, leads, tours, conversions, and census trends.
• Collaborate with the Administrator and Regional Business Development Director on census growth and lease-up strategies.
• Represent Cambridge Senior Living professionally throughout the Waterloo community.
• Participate in Manager on Duty and holiday rotations, as assigned.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or currently working to obtain a degree, from an accredited college in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications field.
• 2 years’ experience in community relations, public relations, communications, journalism, and marketing experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior experience working in a health care office setting required.
• The ability to speak in front of large and small groups, communicate with various levels of management, and have outstanding writing, organizational, and planning skills are necessary.
• Must be a self-starter, able to organize/prioritize daily work, work with a team, and take directions from the Administrator and/or Regional Director of Operations.
• Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment requirements.
• Must be willing to train in our Eau Claire, Wisconsin location prior to the Waterloo community opening.
