Description of Service Opportunity:
Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) consists of four learning communities that support the vision of the Cambridge Public Schools (CPS) to provide all students with rigorous, joyful, and culturally responsive learning as well as the social, emotional, and academic supports each student needs to achieve their goals and post secondary success as engaged community members.
With this in mind, CRLS will provide Summer Preview Programs in English Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies for CRLS students who have chosen to take an Honors or Advanced Placement class next school year and have also been identified as part of a population that has historically experienced racial and/or economic marginalization. Program sessions will be offered for a two-week period.

Ability to demonstrate and encourage growth mindset philosophy and risk-taking throughout entire experience.
The Preview Course will be held during the summer of 2026.
Minimum Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university; Massachusetts certification in grade 9-12 subject matter.
Experience teaching in an urban, multi-cultural school system with inclusionary practices. Meet NCLB highly qualified teacher requirements.
The contract amount shall not exceed $2,500.00 or 50 hours of work at the Summer School Teacher rate of $50.00 per hour.

Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exempt employee and have worked more than 40 hours a week, you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
