Qualifications/Experience:
Minimum age: 16 years old
High School Diploma/GED preferred
Successful DCYF background check required
School age classroom experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:
General knowledge of childcare practices and techniques, general knowledge of children’s developmental and social growth expectations and needs, ability to work with school age children.
Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty.
Specific Tasks:
Support to classroom staff as needed. See the job description for additional information.
Hours Per Day:
6:00 a.m.-7:15 a.m. or 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m., school attendance days. Site varies.
Non school day and Summer program hours available.
May be combined with other positions, split shifts or shared shifts.
