.NET Engineer

Overview

Cambridge Investment Research is a leading independent broker dealer committed to providing innovative financial solutions and technology-driven services to financial professionals and their clients.

Location: Hybrid - Fairfield, IA (in-office 3x/week)

Compensation: $105-120,000/year

We are seeking a backend-focused .NET Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust server-side applications using C#/.NET. This role emphasizes backend development, including API design, database integration, and performance optimization.

Essential Duties

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices for internal and external consumption.
• Integrate with relational databases (SQL Server) and optimize queries for performance.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Implement best practices for security, scalability, and performance tuning.
• Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and maintain high code quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues, ensuring system reliability and uptime.
• Write and maintain technical documentation for backend systems and APIs.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and cloud platforms (Azure).
  
  

Education & Experience

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in backend development using .NET technologies.
• Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
• Experience with SQL Server and database design principles.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with unit testing, CI/CD, and Agile development practices.
