ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
- Systems Engineer Overview
- Also known as Lead Systems Analyst, Network Engineer who can program, or Software Engineer who can manage networks
- Oversees the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance
- Integrates network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices
- Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages the development cycle of software, hardware, and web applications, including: Specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Maintenance
- Role in Systems Engineering ensuring all pieces fit together to create a cohesive whole
- Focuses on both technical aspects and big-picture concerns
- Considers factors such as cost, schedules, and social issues related to the project
- Must possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
- Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
- 7 years of IT professional experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web, and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
- Experience in integrating network operating systems, application programs, and hardware devices through: System specification, Design, Coding, Testing, Maintenance support
- Ability to evaluate the overall project design, considering: Cost, Schedule, Social issues associated with the project
- In rare/some occasions, overnight travel may be required.
- Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements. If this position requires OCONUS travel (listed above), Vaccine Recommendations by AOR | Health.mil lists applicable current vaccination requirements by location.
- Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
- Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
- May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
