We are currently seeking a Network Engineer to support operations in Quantico, VA. This is a full-time position requiring an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
What You’ll Do
You will:
- Provide network engineering, administration, and cybersecurity support for multi-classification networks and infrastructure
- Create virtualized environments to support test events, ensure operational readiness, and troubleshoot issues during execution
- Administer network systems: apply patches, harden systems, review logs
- Support RMF compliance activities, including documentation and vulnerability analysis
- Integrate server and virtual hosting technologies into secure network architecture
- What You’ll Bring
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field (ABET/CAE-accredited) OR 5 years' experience in network design, infrastructure, and security
- Technical
- Hands-on experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls
- Experience applying STIGs, IAVA compliance, and DoD cybersecurity policies
- Familiarity with RMF, network segmentation, and defense-in-depth design
- Familiarity with virtualized networking infrastructure and Software Defined Networking (SDN)
- Preferred (Nice to have)
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, VPN security, PKI, and common attack vectors
- Familiarity with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) tools and traffic analysis
- Experience supporting DoD environments
- Must have a current and active DoD Top Secret security clearance
- Proficient with modern IT tools and infrastructure technologies
- Some overnight stays possible
- OCONUS locations include:
- Bullet out the locations
Office setting:
- Full time onsite role on USMC Base Quantico in Quantico, VA
- Standard desk/computer work with flexibility for walking and movement on site
- Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
- Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
- May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
- Employment is contingent upon successful background investigation
- Alcohol and Drug screening may be required for federal contract compliance
