Location: Baltimore, MD
Shift: Day | 3x12-hours | 09:00 AM – 9:30 PM
Duration: 14 weeks with possible extension
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Job Summary:
Levindale Hebrew and Geriatric Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Trained Medication Assistant (TMA) to join our care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely administering medications to residents under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, ensuring compliance with facility policies and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications to residents accurately and timely.
- Monitor residents for medication side effects and report any concerns to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation in compliance with state and facility standards.
- Assist with resident care as needed in accordance with certification and training.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Current Maryland Geriatric Nurse Assistant (GNA) license MUST HAVE.
- Maryland Certified Medicine Aide (CMA) certification MUST HAVE.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Geriatric Nurse Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent.
- State CMA and State Licensed medication aide certification.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Additional Information:
- This is a temporary position for 14 weeks with a possibility of extension.
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week on a 3x12-hour day shift schedule (09:00 AM – 9:30 PM).
