Position Overview
Seeking a Contract Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) to join an inpatient behavioral health team.
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours/week
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: January 12, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric nursing care
- Perform admission and ongoing assessments
- Administer medications and follow treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with policies and procedures
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN)
Certifications
- BLS (AHA required)
- Additional behavioral health certifications preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings
- Familiarity with evidence-based psychiatric nursing practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
