Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Multi-Modality Radiology Technician to join our healthcare team during daytime hours. This vital role involves operating a wide range of radiologic imaging equipment to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Operate various radiologic imaging equipment such as MRI, CT, X-ray, fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, nuclear medicine devices, and ultrasound systems with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Position patients correctly for different procedures to optimize image quality and ensure patient comfort.
- Apply aseptic techniques during invasive procedures and maintain sterile environments in interventional radiology settings.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) for accurate documentation and image storage.
- Assist in diagnostic radiology procedures by preparing equipment, verifying patient information, and ensuring proper technique.
- Support patient care by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and maintaining a compassionate approach throughout imaging processes.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive diagnostic services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety standards.
- Operate medical imaging equipment safely while adhering to hospital policies and radiation exposure guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training related to new imaging technologies such as PET scans or advanced nuclear medicine techniques.
Submission Requirements
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered - [REQUIRED][DOCUMENT]
- Advanced registry in Computed Tomography - [REQUIRED][DOCUMENT]
- Two year allied health degree - [REQUIRED]
- 2 years of current, full-time experience in both CT and x-ray in a hospital / Emergency Department setting - [REQUIRED]
