SHIFT: 40HRS/WEEK (DAYS)
LOCATION: AURORA, C0
PAY: $1500-$1800/WEEK
REQUIREMENT:
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION – Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, military education or High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years of experience servicing medical equipment.
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of direct patient care equipment maintenance and safety requiring knowledge of sophisticated medical equipment.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our healthcare technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a wide range of medical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role offers an opportunity to work with cutting-edge medical devices, including DME (Durable Medical Equipment), in a dynamic healthcare environment. The technician will utilize mechanical knowledge, computer hardware skills, and schematics to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues efficiently. Experience with OEM standards, CMMS systems, and field service operations is highly desirable. This position requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and equipment reliability.
Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medical equipment, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications and industry standards.
- Calibrate devices accurately using schematics and calibration tools to meet manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and computer hardware to diagnose issues, replace faulty components, and restore equipment functionality.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration records within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Conduct field service visits to hospitals or clinics for on-site troubleshooting and repairs of biomedical devices.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and equipment diagrams for effective troubleshooting.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and testing of new medical equipment including DME devices.
- Ensure all repairs adhere to safety protocols and quality standards to support patient safety.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to understand equipment needs and provide technical support as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with OEM medical equipment repair, calibration, and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools for repairs.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and documentation.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams effectively.
- Experience with field service operations involving on-site troubleshooting at healthcare facilities.
- Knowledge of computer hardware related to medical devices or diagnostic equipment is preferred.
- Understanding of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) standards and regulations is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and safety in all tasks.
- Relevant certifications or training in biomedical technology or related fields are preferred but not required.
