Role Description
As an Aerospace Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day to-day manufacturing operations for the company, an Aerospace Manufacturing firm. You will play a crucial role in ensuring production efficiency, quality standards, and safety compliance. Your leadership will be essential in driving operational excellence, managing resources effectively, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily aerospace manufacturing operations including production scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation.
- Lead and develop production teams, supervisors, and technical staff to achieve operational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements such as AS9100, FAA, and EASA.
- Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, quality, and operations teams to maintain production flow and inventory availability.
Education and Experience
- 8 years of aerospace manufacturing operations experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality management systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and continuous improvement
