DEALERSHIP SERVICE MANAGER

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dealership Service Manager to oversee the service department operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing service staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining efficient workflow within the dealership’s service area. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of automotive services, and the ability to coordinate daily activities to meet dealership standards. Compensation is based on experience, and schooling or training will be provided if needed.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations of the dealership’s service department, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality customer service.
• Manage and supervise service technicians and support staff, providing leadership and guidance.
• Coordinate scheduling of service appointments and allocate resources effectively.
• Ensure all services are performed according to manufacturer standards and dealership policies.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
• Monitor department performance metrics, including productivity, profitability, and customer feedback.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, service quality, and team performance.
• Provide training or schooling as needed to ensure staff stay current with industry standards and technical skills.
• Handle administrative tasks related to service operations, including reporting and record keeping.

Skills

• Proven experience in automotive service management or a related role within a dealership environment.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, staff, and vendors.
• Technical knowledge of automotive repair processes and diagnostic tools.
