Unit Manager (Full-Time) – Calvert City Nursing & Rehab
Calvert City Nursing & Rehab is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Unit Manager (LPN or RN) to lead a team of skilled nursing professionals and ensure exceptional care for our residents. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who thrives in a supportive, residentfocused environment.
About the Role
The Unit Manager oversees daily clinical operations on the assigned unit, ensuring residents receive the highest quality of care and that care plans are followed consistently. This position works closely with nursing staff, physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident wellbeing and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, mentor, and support assigned nursing staff to maintain excellent clinical standards
Monitor resident care to ensure care plans are followed and updated as needed
Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, residents, and families
Participate in morning meetings, care plan meetings, NAR, QAPI, and other required meetings
Review labs, diagnostics, and daily charting to ensure timely followup on orders and alert documentation
Step in as Charge Nurse when needed
Participate in the oncall rotation
Assist with admissions and onboarding of new residents
Provide direct nursing care when necessary
Support residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and promote independence
Respond promptly and courteously to resident call systems
Identify and report changes in resident condition
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to ongoing assessments
Demonstrate hospitality and uphold our core values of quality, respect, service, and integrity
Qualifications
Active Unencumbered Nurse license in Kentucky or multistate compact
Current CPR certification
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret regulations
Proven leadership ability with experience guiding and supporting staff
Professional, courteous, and residentcentered demeanor
Must meet physical requirements of the position
