Position Overview: The Youth Director will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading programs and activities for the youth of our congregation. This includes organizing weekly youth group meetings, special events, service projects, and trips that encourage spiritual growth, fellowship, and community service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry program that aligns with the mission and vision of Calvary Lutheran Church.
- Plan and lead weekly youth group meetings, Bible studies, and other activities.
- Organize and supervise youth participation in church services, community service projects, retreats, and mission trips.
- Provide mentorship and support to youth, fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteer leaders to assist with youth ministry activities.
- Communicate regularly with parents and the congregation about youth ministry activities and events.
- Collaborate with church staff and leadership to integrate youth ministry into the broader life of the church.
Qualifications:
- A strong personal faith and a commitment to the mission and values of the Lutheran Church.
- Experience in youth ministry or a related field, with a proven ability to connect with and inspire young people.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
