Job Summary:
This position supports the day-to-day operation of the Melbourne campus. Calvary Chapel must be your home church with regular attendance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assure the optimal functioning of building systems including electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, elevators, etc. (1 Corinthians 14:33)
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to perform building repairs such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, air conditioners (Mark 10:45)
• Participate in the set-up/teardown of rooms and equipment relating to church and individual ministry events (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
• Maintain the lawn irrigation system
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (emergency generator, golf carts, forklift, light cart, high lift, gator tractor, etc.) (Proverbs 11:14)
• Complete work requests and documenting maintenance records (1 Corinthians 14:40)
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and read wiring schematics
• Operate machinery after a period of training
• Function as a productive part of the church staff and attend staff meetings (1 Timothy 2:1)
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor (Colossians 3:23)
Job Skills and Competencies:
• Must not have a fear of heights for required climbing
• Must be able to lift heavy objects correctly
• Must be able to read with understanding basic instruction manuals
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Publisher, Excel) software
• Adaptable to frequent changes and able to produce high quality work under pressure (Ephesians 5:17)
• Manage time and schedules well and consistently meet deadlines, capable of handling several tasks at once and following through
• Work with little supervision or direction (1 Peter 4:10)
