JOB TITLE: Front Desk Host (Receptionist)

DEPARTMENT: Engagement and Events

REPORTS TO: Director of Hospitality

STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt

HOURS: Part-Time

You will:

• Create an experience that makes people want to re-engage with us by warmly greeting and receiving people as they call or arrive at the front office
• Answer and transfer all incoming calls to the appropriate ministry and staff areas
• Communicate inspiration and current information about services, ministries, directions, outside resources
  
  
  

You have:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Spiritual maturity with gifts of: administration, discernment, leadership, service
• Computer skills
• Flexibility with the ability to prioritize, organize, multitask and complete projects on time and follow-through efficiently
• The ability to give biblical guidance over the phone and one-on-one
• The ability to maintain and display compassion and strength when serving the special needs of the guests
• A strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
• The ability to manage people well and good leadership skills to lead volunteers
• A calm and level-headed demeanor when faced with pressing needs or difficulty in the moment
• The ability to keep confidential matters confidential

What you are required to know:

• We are an EEO employee
• You may have to bend, sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push and/or move up to 35 lbs.
• This is a part-time (20 hours/week) hourly non-exempt position
• You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies
