Job Overview
Position Summary:
The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and attractive guest rooms and public areas to ensure a positive experience for hotel guests. This position plays a key role in maintaining the hotel’s cleanliness standards and overall guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms daily according to hotel standards
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replace towels and toiletries
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, and clean floors
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms including sinks, toilets, showers, and mirrors
- Empty trash and replace trash liners
- Restock guest room supplies such as coffee, cups, and amenities
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately
- Ensure all rooms are properly secured after cleaning
- Follow proper cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Maintain housekeeping carts and supply closets in an organized manner
- Provide friendly and professional service when interacting with guests
- Assist with cleaning public areas when needed
Daily Duties May Include:
- Cleaning guest rooms after check-out
- Refreshing stay-over guest rooms
- Inspecting rooms for damages or missing items
- Reporting lost and found items according to hotel policy
- Meeting daily room cleaning quotas
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift, bend, push, and stand for long periods
- Good time management skills
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Customer service oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Pay: $13.73 - $15.00 per hour
