The Senior Processor is responsible for processing and closing all types of commercial loans in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. This includes working with Relationship Managers/ Account Officers and Underwriters to gather all due diligence information required for financial, collateral analysis, credit analysis and loan approval. The Senior Processor is responsible for ensuring that loans are properly documented and that both supporting and contractual documentation complies with state and federal laws and protects the interest of the Bank and its customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary loan support for Underwriters, Relationship Managers, and Credit Administration. (“Loan Team”)
Assist Loan Team with gathering, reviewing, and assembling due diligence information and other loan documentation from pre-loan documentation to loan closing.
Serve as liaison to coordinate the activities of external and internal groups, Loan Team and individuals who are a party to the loan.
Actively participate with the Loan Team in proactive problem identification or closing obstacles and resolution.
Manage, coordinate, prioritize multiple loan closings simultaneously and actively. Always maintain a current pipeline.
Process loan requests as assigned.
Collateral due diligence and perfection for all types for collateral including real estate. Review and address title exceptions for Lender’s title insurance policy.
Review all entity due diligence information, ensure due authority and ownership.
Prepare and review loan documentation for accuracy and risk management. Coordinate loan signing.
Ensure proper collection of all closing fees.
Assists Loan Team to ensure all approvals, waivers and exceptions authorizations are received pre-closing. Ensure and document that all pre-closing conditions have been met.
Follow procedures for submitting the final loan package to Loan Servicing Department for the accurate and timely booking of new and existing loans.
Follow up on post-closing exceptions and receipt of original signed document. Scan and maintain all pre-closing and post-closing loan file data
Responsible for adherence to all loan related compliance laws and regulations; cooperation with compliance related reporting and regulator exam related follow up.
Maintain current pipeline at all times.

BSA/AML/ Compliance
Responsibilities
Complete required documentation for new accounts including collection of required customer documentation, identification, and information as required by the Bank’s CIP program. This position includes direct interaction with customers and prospects and therefore includes responsibilities relating to BSA/AML. The employee is responsible for understanding and following the Bank’s BSA/AML policies including elevating suspicious activity to the BSA Officer. Additionally, the employee is required to understand and follow the Bank’s compliance program.
Qualifications
Must have 4 years’ direct commercial and real estate loan processing experience with at least 2 years loan documentation experience. Computer skills required include good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
