What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Architect / Project Manager position at Callahan & Freeman Architects?
The Project Manager leads a team of internal staff and external consultants to meet the project objectives defined by the Firm leadership and the Client. The role includes producing and managing the production of schematic design documents. The manager will establish and encourage the achievement of the project schedule. They will be responsible for achieving the deadlines, communicating with the client, and generally managing the project from the execution of the contract through the completion of construction. This role will be in direct collaboration with the Firm principal.
Time Requirements: Minimum 40 hours per week, extending as necessary to fulfill project requirements
Responsibilities:
- Understanding and facilitating the needs of the Client
- Fostering relationships and onboarding of consulting firms
- Working with the Client to understand and document the project program
- Contributing to and producing schematic designs
- Understanding and researching building technologies and product availability for integration into detailed design
- Contributing to and guiding a team to produce detailed construction drawings and specifications.
- Contributing to and guiding a team to support the documents during construction
Industrial Focus:
C&F Architects serves many markets within which the Project Manager will work. A key market sector on which the Firm focuses is industrial manufacturing. This type of work requires some additional attention to equipment integration and accommodation. The Project Manager for this work must understand and be able to contribute to mechanical design configurations that will provide conceptual configurations to guide detailed engineering design.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture
- 5-10 years of experience as a Project Architect or Project Manager
- A registered Architect or on the path toward licensure
- Skilled in producing documents with Autodesk Revit
- A well-spoken communicator, comfortable presenting information to groups
- Strong work ethic, ready to lead by example
