Job Title : Sales Associate
Job Description : Sales Associates are the lifeblood at Calla Lily Quilts! Sales Associates work on the sales floor, selling fabrics, notions, and more. Sales Associates are required to complete training in the Baby Lock product line.
Sales Associates should have a basic knowledge of fabrics and textiles, as well as sewing in case customers have questions about projects or sewing issues. Familiarity with patterns, fabric requirements, etc is important. Sales Associates run the Point-of-Sale at the sales counter.
Motivation and self-initiative are essential to your success as a Sales Associate. Our associates are busy all day long, cleaning and dusting, putting away bolts of fabrics and notions, organizing and tidying the sales floor, putting up samples for display, cleaning and preparing the classroom for classes.
Sales Associates will be trained on the POS system. Associates will be responsible for completing sales for customers, signing up students for classes, promoting those classes while talking with customers to find out what their needs are. We value relationships in our customer base. We know our customers and students by a first-name basis, so being outgoing and friendly is a necessary component.
These are just a few of the daily tasks of a Sales Associate. The shop manager will also ask for additional tasks as needed. We love our Sales Associates, and we need them to make our shop run smoothly, so we value each and every one of them!
