We are seeking a passionate and talented Lead Florist to join our team! As the Lead Florist, you will be the creative force behind the Calla Lane Floral service offerings. Your enthusiasm for floral and event design will inspire both your team and every couple we work with.
This role offers the opportunity to showcase your expertise in floral artistry while leading a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional floral experiences. Your leadership will ensure our floral offerings are fresh, beautiful, and tailored to each customer's unique needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop custom floral proposals for full-service event inquiries
- Lead client design consultations and translate vision into floral concepts
- Collaborate with Director of Brand and Design regularly
- Execute floral designs based on approved proposals and recipes
- Oversee floral production for events across local and travel markets
- Lead event installations and breakdowns with efficiency and attention to detail
- Manage and direct assistants and freelance team members on-site
- Maintain design quality, consistency, and alignment with brand standards
- Problem-solve in real time during event setup and execution
- Support prep, processing, and production as needed to ensure event readiness
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality flower deliveries and manage floral inventory efficiently using organizational skills
Ideal Candidate & Experience
- Proven experience in floral design with a strong portfolio showcasing creativity in floral arrangements for diverse occasions
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous leadership experience on an event team/setting preferred; ability to motivate and guide a team effectively (can run installs independently)
- Calm under pressure
- Solutions-oriented
- Strong communication skills to engage with customers, team members, and suppliers confidently
- Ability to organize tasks efficiently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and willing to travel at least 2 times a month
Pay: From $57,500.00 per year
