What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Litigation Attorney position at Call & Jensen?
Call & Jensen, an Orange County litigation boutique established in 1981, seeks experienced, knowledgeable, and independent-thinking attorneys to advocate for our well-respected clients in employment, class action and business cases. Our Firm services some of the country’s largest and most recognizable corporations, as well as younger and up-and-coming companies, obtaining extremely favorable verdicts, judgments, and settlements on their behalf on the defense side, and seven- and eight-figure verdicts on the plaintiffs’ side.
We expect that the majority of our associates will spend their entire careers at Call & Jensen; therefore, our partnership track is shorter than larger firms. We seek attorneys who truly enjoy the practice of law and derive great personal and professional satisfaction from our clients’ successes.
Experience with wage and hour cases, class actions, and PAGA representative actions is a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare motions, oppositions to motions, and reply to briefs, and attend hearings before judicial officers in state and federal courts and arbitration forums.
· Prepare for and take depositions.
· Prepare discovery requests, discovery responses, and subpoenas.
· Prepare agreements, such as settlement agreements and joint defense agreements.
· Support first-chair attorneys before, during and after trial, preparing pretrial documents, motions and deposition summaries.
· Interact with clients and opposing counsel in a courteous and thoughtful manner.
· Research case law and statutes.
· Review and analyze documents produced by opposing counsel and documents provided by clients.
· Develop new clients.
· Supervise remote paralegals and legal assistants.
· Prepare and give MCLEs to firm lawyers and paralegals on topics of interest.
· Enter billable time promptly and accurately.

Salary Range: $180,000 to $300,000, depending on experience
