The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen, dishwashing areas, and food storage spaces. This position supports the culinary and food & beverage teams by ensuring all cookware, dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to company and health department standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, workstations, walls, drains, and storage areas.
- Remove trash and recycling and ensure waste areas remain clean and organized.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supply deliveries as needed.
- Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain chemical handling and cleaning standards in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous stewarding, dishwashing, or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
