Role Description The Financial Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Brea, CA. This role involves providing comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services to individuals and families experiencing significant financial transitions. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients to assess their goals and financial circumstances, developing customized financial plans, recommending investment strategies, and advising on retirement planning, tax-efficient wealth strategies, and risk management. The Financial Advisor will review and analyze complex financial documents such as trusts, real estate portfolios, business sale proceeds, insurance policies, and corporate equity compensation plans. The role also includes ongoing portfolio monitoring, preparing client reports, collaborating with tax and legal professionals as needed, and educating clients to help them make informed decisions. A strong client-service mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex concepts in clear, accessible language are essential.
Qualifications
- Strong Financial Planning skills, including experience creating comprehensive, goals-based plans for individuals and families.
- Solid Finance and Investments knowledge, with the ability to design and manage diversified portfolios aligned with client risk profiles and values.
- Expertise in Retirement Planning, including income replacement strategies, Social Security considerations, and tax-efficient withdrawal planning.
- Demonstrated success in Financial Advisory services, including client relationship management and counseling clients through major life and financial transitions.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CFP®, CFA®, ChFC®, or progress toward such credentials preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and respectfully.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to acting in clients’ best interests; experience working with high-net-worth clients is beneficial.
