Position SummaryCalifornia SMASH is seeking a highly creative, organized, and experienced Marketing & Social Media Assistant to help tell our story across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms. This role supports the growth of an already thriving sports, hospitality, and entertainment destination by capturing content in real time, creating compelling social media assets, and executing consistent, high-quality marketing output.
This is a hands-on role for someone who understands brand voice, thrives in fast-paced environments, and has a strong creative eye for photography, video, and storytelling. You’ll work closely with leadership, events, and programming teams to showcase daily energy, major events, food & beverage, and the community that makes California SMASH special.

The Marketing & Social Media Assistant plays a key role in amplifying the California SMASH experience. This position supports marketing leadership and works cross-functionally with events, food & beverage, programming, and operations to ensure the brand is represented accurately, creatively, and consistently across all digital platforms.
Responsibilities- Capture photo and video content on-site, including gameplay, events, food & beverage, staff, and guests
- Edit short-form and long-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
- Execute daily and weekly social media posting schedules
- Assist in developing creative concepts, storylines, and visual themes
- Maintain brand consistency across all social platforms
- Support marketing campaigns, promotions, and special events
- Organize and manage digital assets and content libraries
- Monitor engagement and assist with community interaction
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to capture real-time moments
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and promoting brands on social media
- Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube best practices
- Proven ability to shoot and edit photo and video content
- Proficiency with editing tools (e.g., Adobe, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar)
- Strong creative eye for composition, lighting, and storytelling
- Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
