Position Summary

The adjunct professors will teach master-level courses. We are seeking an Adjunct Professor of AI for Robotics to teach dynamic and practical courses designed to prepare students for the rapid advancement of Robotics technology. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and skilled at blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging courses on AI for Robotics, from fundamental, applications and advance developments. Integrate real-world examples and industry trends to keep course content relevant and engaging.

A short course description on "AI for Robotics":

AI Models for Robotics explores the artificial intelligence models that power modern robotic systems. The course focuses on Reinforcement Learning (RL), Large Language Models (LLMs), Vision-Language Models (VLMs), Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, World Models, and robotic foundation models. Students examine how these models enable robotic perception, reasoning, planning, and autonomous decision-making. Topics include deep reinforcement learning, multimodal learning, embodied AI, simulation-based training, sim-to-real transfer, and agentic robotic systems. Through case studies and hands-on projects, students evaluate state-of-the-art robotic AI architectures and develop intelligent robotic agents capable of adapting to complex environments. The course also addresses safety, reliability, and emerging trends in physical AI and general-purpose robotics.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements:

Have a Master and above degrees in a related field and 4 years of industrial working experience in related field. Passion for teaching. Eligible to work in the US. Local in Silicon Valley. Clear communication in classroom and online teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience mentoring diverse student populations.

Skills and Competencies

Expertise in Robotics. Ability to deliver an engaging and practical learning experience, blending theory and hands-on activities. Strong organizational and evaluative skills for managing coursework and providing actionable feedback. Dedication to fostering an inclusive and empowering learning environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $100.00 - $125.00 per hour
