Our Montclair, CA location is now seeking a dynamic team member with a proven track record in a new & used car automotive environment for our family-owned and operated dealership. We are hiring an experienced Business Development Center (BDC) Representative to join our team!

In this position, you would be responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing customer communications for the dealership. This role focuses on generating appointments for the sales and/or service departments through effective phone, email, and text communication. The BDC Representative provides exceptional customer service, follows up on leads promptly, and maintains accurate customer records to support dealership sales and service goals. You would report directly to the BDC Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Minimum of 1 year of Automotive or customer service experience preferred
- Self-driven and track record in exceeding goals in performance-based bonus structures; and ability to apply consultative selling and align value-based solutions with a customer’s needs
- Able to perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting with ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
- Possess "Start-Up" mindset or experience on approach of problems and polished resolutions
- Working experience with a Dealer Management System(s), Outlook, and MS Office; and proficient with computer programs such as Microsoft and Google
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment, while individual contributions will be recognized, teamwork is essential to achieve the highest level of success. We will reward team players who help others succeed and empower the team around them
- Must be able to work weekends and some holidays

Essential Duties, but not limited to:
- Respond promptly to internet, phone, and text inquiries from potential and existing customers.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for the sales and/or service departments.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and helpful demeanor in all customer interactions.
- Make outbound calls to existing customers for service reminders, special promotions, and follow-up.
- Manage CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system to ensure accurate lead and customer information.
- Follow up on missed appointments, no-shows, and unsold showroom traffic.
- Work closely with sales and service teams to ensure a smooth customer handoff and excellent overall experience.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly appointments and contact goals.
- Stay informed on dealership promotions, manufacturer programs, and product knowledge.
- Track and report lead activity, conversions, and results.
- Be the first point of contact for inbound (phone and internet) Leads
- Interact with hundreds of customers via phone, email, and to help guide their vehicle purchase experience
- Respond to leads in a timely fashion, answering questions, providing information, and helping guide customers effectively from a phone, email, or text conversation to a store visit — providing an exceptional customer experience is key
- Qualify leads, build rapport with potential customers, schedule appointments, and follow up to ensure an enjoyable customer experience
- Communicate and listen to customer needs to help them select their perfect vehicle, set proper expectations, coordinate a positive store visit experience, and diligently follow up
- Develop a point of view on how to help qualify customers’ needs by consistently analyzing consumer situational scenarios to provide the appropriate solution to meet their needs
- Excel in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask and follow up with multiple customers and work on multiple files each day
- Keep our CRM updated, accurate, precise and thorough with customer information and sales related activities through the sales cycle
- Understand business processes, determining requirements, identify objections and reporting them to management, and ascertaining potential solutions
- Demonstrating initiative, creativity and collaboration in real time troubleshooting
- Follow up with prospective customers in response to their email on our website.
- Coordinates questions and issues with the appropriate department personnel.
- Provides administrative assistance as needed.
- Manages all required paperwork and records and prepares documentation (forms, reports, etc.) when needed.
- Maintain an owner follow up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
- Continually learn about product updates, features, accessories, inventory and their benefits to the customer.
- Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and be devoted to guaranteeing satisfaction to our customers.
- Establish personal goals that are consistent with the dealership standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
- Provide service management information for completion of reports.
- Attend service meetings and training sessions as required.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Periodically conduct physical inventory of merchandise.
Salary Range: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
