Job Description And Duties
The Department of the State Hospitals – Napa , Plant Operations is now accepting Permanent Full-Time Groundskeeper applications. These positions will work under the direction of the PM Shop Supervisor. The duties will include ( but not limited to ) general grounds maintenance work. Cares for lawns , including mowing, edging , raking leaves and irrigation systems. Operate riding and push mowers of various sizes. Pothole repair on facility roadways. Assists with inmate and patient landscaping crews. Tree work around facility, operates chainsaws and chippers.

Classified as a low to moderate security facility, the hospital has a bed capacity to treat up to 1,362 patients on an attractive campus with treatment units located on 138 acres. Staff is dedicated and committed to delivering high quality, cost-effective, professional services and specialized programs in an environment that promotes continuous improvements in treatment for individuals with mental disabilities.
