Job Description And Duties
The Department of State Hospitals Napa currently has an opening for an Electrician Supervisor in the Plant Operations Department. The Electrician Supervisor will plan, layout, direct, and inspect the work of a group of Electricians and other workers engaged in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical apparatus and equipment; make rough sketches and estimate the cost of minor electrical installations; advise in the electrical materials; see that the work is done according to plans and specifications and is properly correlated with other trades; and see that safety regulations are followed.

Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee’s monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period in accordance with the applicable bargaining contract. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.
