Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the Analyst II independently performs complex analytical work related to the recruitment, retention, hiring, and on/off-boarding of staff for Labor Commissioner's Office (LCO) programs. The Analyst II works closely with program leaders to develop recruitment strategies using various tools and methods and effectuate a statewide on- boarding process for the LCO. The incumbent must be willing to travel for recruitment events. The incumbent is expected to conduct in-person & virtual presentations to groups & management, throughout California. The incumbent will serve as a personnel liaison within the LCO and liaison with the department's Human Resources office and work with each LCO program to prioritize hiring and retention goals for the LCO.

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
