DIR was established in 1927, and its mission is to improve working conditions for California's wage earners and to advance opportunities for profitable employment in California. DIR administers and enforces laws governing wages, workplace safety and health, apprenticeship training programs, and medical care and other benefits for injured workers.
DIR is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual to lead our Contracts and Procurement team. Under the direction of the Contracts & Procurement Branch Chief, the Supervisor II oversees the DIR Purchasing and Contracting Program. The Supervisor II serves as the primary DIR contact for the Department of General Services on procurement and contracting matters and grants, and ensures DIR adheres to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures to maintain DIR’s delegated Purchasing Authority. The Supervisor II provides oversight and direction to Contracts and Procurement Units, including coordination, planning, organizing, and overseeing functions including, but not limited to, personnel management, the development and implementation of policies and procedures, non-IT, grants and IT contract and procurement development, processing of contract and procurement requests, training and contract management support, and other procurement related activities.

Working Conditions
This job is located in Sacramento, CA
The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting. Air-conditioned, High-rise building with elevator access. Cubicle with natural and artificial lighting.
We offer a hybrid work schedule in accordance to DIR’s telework policy.
The incumbent must be able to remain in a stationary position for a prolonged period of time using a computer and telephone and interaction with coworkers and other stakeholders.

Salary : $7,872 - $9,781
