The District Director for the California Conservation Corps (CCC) Fresno District is responsible for leading the district’s programs, staff, and Corpsmembers. This role oversees day-to-day operations, including personnel management, budgeting, project planning, and Corpsmember development. The District Director creates a positive and inclusive work environment, supports staff training, manages fiscal resources, and ensures that crews have what they need to complete conservation and emergency-response projects. The position also represents the CCC in the community through outreach and coordination with local, state, and federal partners.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are key to success in this role. The District Director should be able to mentor staff and Corpsmembers, manage multiple programs at once, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the workplace. Desirable qualifications include experience supervising teams, preparing and managing budgets, working in conservation or emergency-response fields, and building relationships with community partners.
