Analyst II - Recruitment Consultant

The Analyst II- Recruitment Consultant will help attract and hire qualified candidates to support department growth. This position works closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, create recruiting strategies, and promote career opportunities through social media, job boards, outreach events, and partnerships with schools and community organizations. The role also includes attending job fairs, assisting at the California Natural Resource Agency Career Center, answering applicant questions, and helping candidates understand the state hiring process.

Additional responsibilities include reviewing applications to confirm minimum qualifications, supporting civil service exams, tracking recruitment results, and improving hiring strategies. The recruiter will also advise hiring managers on outreach and candidate screening, help maintain consistent branding in job postings, and support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in recruitment and workplace programs. This role may also assist with special projects and provide backup support for exam administration when needed.
