Career Services Placement Officer
Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) & Diagnostic Cardiovascular Sonography (DCS)

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and facilitate workshops on résumé writing, interview preparation, job search strategies, and professional development
- Provide one-on-one career advising to students and graduates
- Assist students with job and internship applications, including cover letters and mock interviews
- Stay current on labor market trends and employment opportunities relevant to DMS and DCS graduates
- Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with healthcare employers and industry partners
- Coordinate job and internship placement opportunities
- Organize career fairs, employer panels, networking events, and on-campus recruitment activities
- Serve as a liaison between employers, students, faculty, and administration
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate career development initiatives into academic programs
- Manage and maintain career services databases and track student and alumni employment outcomes
- Maintain accurate reporting and documentation related to placement outcomes
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Higher Education, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in career services, workforce development, higher education, or a related field
- Experience working in a post-secondary or higher education environment preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong networking ability and experience building employer partnerships
- Knowledge of career assessment tools and career services software platforms
- Experience with student information systems and placement tracking databases
- Proven ability to plan and manage events and programs
- Excellent public speaking, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
