Job Summary
Join our caring preschool team! We are looking for a dependable, energetic Teacher Assistant who enjoys working with young children and values creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The Teacher Assistant will work alongside the Lead Teacher to support daily classroom routines, facilitate learning through play, prepare classroom materials, and help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves working with preschoolers and wants to make a positive impact each day.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
- Build positive relationships with children and families.
- Supervise children to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
- Prepare and organize classroom materials and learning centers.
- Support children during play, small-group activities, and transitions.
- Encourage social-emotional development using positive guidance techniques.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
- Communicate professionally with families and coworkers.
- Participate in required trainings and staff meetings.
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety requirements.
Qualifications
Required
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and actively engage with young children throughout the day.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
