About the Role
As a Precision CNC Machinist, you will play a vital role in our high-precision manufacturing department, ensuring the production of complex components for critical industries. You will leverage your expertise in multi-axis machining and quality inspection to maintain rigorous standards while driving continuous process improvements.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain advanced CNC equipment, including Swiss lathes, multi-spindle lathes, and 5-axis milling centers.
- Execute complex setups for both legacy components and new production orders to maximize machine uptime.
- Perform precise visual and dimensional inspections using advanced metrology tools such as CMM, vision systems, and micrometers.
- Manage tool offsets and perform necessary adjustments to ensure consistent part quality and production efficiency.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on production machinery to ensure long-term reliability and performance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation within ERP and QMS systems to ensure full traceability and compliance with quality standards.
- Mentor junior machinists and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Ensure a safe work environment by strictly adhering to all health and safety protocols and utilizing appropriate PPE.
Required Skills
- 3-7 years of experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, such as medical device, aerospace, or automotive.
- Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, technical specifications, and GD&T.
- Demonstrated ability to operate and troubleshoot multi-axis CNC machinery independently.
- Strong understanding of GMP and ISO quality management standards.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high accuracy in documentation and inspection.
- Physical capability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Skills
- Technical school certification or equivalent specialized training.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including engineering and quality departments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and training.
