Full time position as Warehouse assistant open for immediate hire

Purpose: Warehouse assistant needed for coordinating and expediting flow of material, parts, assemblies and finished product in accordance with production, shipping schedules and supervisors’ priorities.

Job Description

• Receive products and supports work processes by receiving, inspecting, preparing, sorting, identifying, weighing, allocating, and loading materials; placing orders in receiving area. Route and assign material to storage locations.
• Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and any damages.
• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
• Returns items to inventory by loading, moving, and unloading items.
• Monitor and control movement of materials, parts and finished products.
• Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
• Maintain electronic files, records, and packing lists.
• Maintains quality inspection by following organization standards.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by removing scrap; sweeping and mopping area; erecting barriers; disposing of hazardous materials; following safety rules, procedures and regulations; wearing personal protective equipment when necessary, keeping shelves, and work area clean.
• Operate forklift and any other equipment as needed.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, kneel, and reach for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift more than 50 lbs
• Experience in the Aviation/Defense a plus
• Knowledge of computerized inventory system a plus (Pentagon, Quantum)
