Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Ankeny, IA. As an Architect at Caliber Company, you will design and manage custom architecture projects, develop architectural plans, and ensure seamless execution from concept to completion. You will collaborate with contractors and cross-functional teams to contribute to design decisions and idea generation.
Requirements:
- Completion of accredited professional degree program with a bachelors or masters degree in architecture
- 3 to 10 years of related experience
- Licensed to practice architecture in the state of IA (or readily obtainable via reciprocity)
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop and coordinate construction documentation
- Strong knowledge of architectural systems, construction documentation, and associated technology
- Demonstrate a high degree of aptitude in creative and critical thinking in the design process
- Proficient in application of international building codes, life safety code, and ADA requirements
- Experience with programming, space planning, and exterior architectural design
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Adept in Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Office
- Skilled in the use of Twin Motion, Enscape, and other visualization software
- Experience with commercial and/or multifamily residential projects is beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Production and coordination of design process and technical documents under the direction of a licensed design professional
- Contribute to design discussions and idea generation
- Creation of renderings and graphical images for marketing and promotion of projects
- Design and detailing in Revit
- Attend project and client meetings with design professionals and consultants
- Collaborate with our Development, Interior Design, Project Management, and Construction teams from concept to project substantial completion
- Interact with and be a representative of the company with clients and contractors
- Conduct site visits to review progress and ensure design intent is executed in the field
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, and design methods to support innovative design and excellence in execution
Position Compensation Highlights:
- Annual Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 (based on qualifications & experience)
