What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinic - Full Time position at Calhoun Liberty Hospital Association, Inc?
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will perform routine quality patient care under supervision of RHC providers and/or their designee through various patient care activities such as collecting patient information, medication administration, and taking vital signs. Having working knowledge of medical terminology, an understanding of common disorders, and a strict attention to detail is required. The LPN will adhere to the Florida Nurses Practice Act.
- Provide quality patient care as assigned under the direction of RHC providers and/or their designee
- Complete workup assessments for RHC patients
- Contribute to the enhancement of patient care
- Maintain professional interpersonal relationships with coworkers and other members of the health care team
- Communicate and document appropriately any and all relevant information
- Be alert for signs of abuse or neglect of a patient
- Participate in inservice and continuing education
- Report equipment failures and reduction of inventory levels
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities
- Recognize potential safety hazards to maintain a safe environment
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Professional or Vocational School of Nursing
- Florida or Compact State Licensed Practical Nurse Licensure, in good standing
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ASHI)
- Excellent verbal/nonverbal communication and active listening skills
- Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language
