Position: Control Room Operator
Location: Crosby Plant – Crosby, TX

Hours of work: 7 Days per Week; Rotating Shifts 8 or 12 hour shifts - Dupont schedule
The Control Room Operator operates the kiln reactivation system, and all other associated equipment.
The Control Room Operator operates pollution abatement in compliance with appropriate regulations.
The Control Room Operator maintains a neat and orderly Plant and reports to the Plant Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Attends regularly scheduled Safety meetings and implements all CCC and OSHA safe work practices
- Conducts monthly safety observations
- Participates in audits and understands all associated procedures
- Follows all Safety Guidelines and JSP’s – makes suggestions for improvement if necessary
- Perform general housekeeping in operating area and control room to keep a clean professional work area
- Operates the kiln reactivation system and associated equipment with a minimum of direct supervision
- Adjust the equipment as necessary to maintain product quality
- Use available tools such as process history and data trending to make continuous improvements to the process
- Maintains accurate and legible process records
- Work with outside or inside company personnel to run trials or process experiments
- Operates all equipment to maximize yields, conserve energy and keep process at optimum efficiency
- Use desktop computer to track process data, production data, enter maintenance work order requests, and maintain effective communication
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)is required
- One year certificate from college or technical school is preferred
- 0-2 years of plant manufacturing experience is preferred
- Computer competency is preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience is preferred
